Art Nouveau Jardiniere & Stand by Royal Doulton c.1905

Splendid Art Nouveau stoneware jardiniere and stand by the great English ceramic manufacturer Royal Doulton c.1905. Bulbous 20" diameter jardiniere (14" at the mouth) and matching column pedestal with a total combined height of 50". Beautiful Art Nouveau inspired design of organic forms in raised tube lining in-filled with a stunning variety of coloured glazes. Note how the yellow background and deep mottled sea-green is repeated on the top and bottom whilst the brown of the base blends through pink into blue as it raises on the jardiniere to form flower petals, the shape of which are repeated around the upper edge of the stand. Clear impressed Royal Doulton marks on the base of each piece. With a small repair to raised lip at the top of the stand. Otherwise excellent condition.
