Art Deco Sculpture of a Gun Dog c.1930

Art Deco table top sculpture of a dog c.1930. Well modelled and cast in spelter as a faithful gun dog in a lifelike pose with a duck held in its mouth. Good bronze finish to the metal and presented on a superb polychrome marble base of dramatic modernist form. Presentation plaque at the front of the base inscribed in French from 'The members of the school cooperative to their dedicated organizer'. A few little chips from the edges of the base, otherwise excellent condition.
