8 Walnut & Leather Dining Chairs c.1900

Good quality set of 8 walnut and leather dining chairs c.1900. Six chairs plus two large matching carver armchairs. Solid walnut frames with shaped cresting rails carved with acanthus and scallop detail. Padded backrests and sprung seats with superb original tan leather upholstery with brass studs (a well matched replacement cover to seat of one chair). Shaped carved and moulded arms to the carvers. Shaped apron below the seat carved on the front to match the cresting rails. Curving legs with carved detail at the knees and scrolling feet. Joined with shaped and moulded cross stretchers. A couple of holes to the upholstery on the rear of the backrest on one of the carvers. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
