Carved Oak Window Seat c.1880

Late 19th.c. Restoration style carved oak window seat or long stool c.1880. Buttoned seat pad upholstered in a rich burnt orange chenille. Solid oak frame with a deep ogee moulded edge over a scrolling acanthus apron. Front legs carved with male and female figures over tapering and moulded feet with a carved detail repeated on the back legs. Very good colour and condition, solid and sturdy with clean covers.
