Set of Four Rush Seat Dining Chairs c.1900.

Charming set of four small walnut and rush seat dining chairs c.1900. Low backrests with curving top rails on three slim turned spindles. Over the original woven rush seats (seat height 17½") with rounded front and sides. Tapering front legs and curving rear stiles with chamfered edges. Joined with double stretchers to the front and sides and a single stretcher at the rear. Note the pegged joints. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
