Metamorphic Library Steps & Armchair

Superior quality walnut metamorphic armchair and library steps c.1960. Regency style armchair with curved and moulded back stretchers and graceful scroll arms with a reeded edge and turned roundels over a canework seat. Turn the key at the rear (a rare feature) and fold over the backrest and seat to make a good sturdy set of library steps with four treads, the highest at 29" from the floor. With brass hinges and lock. Excellent condition with a new cane seat. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
