Attractive oil on canvas painting of a house and garden in French Cote d'Azur resort of St Tropez c.1960. Under a cloudless blue sky a Mediterranean garden with agaves and tall cypress trees stands beyond the dry and dusty road, with the pale pink gable and chimney of a house beyond. Painted in oil on canvas with thick texture to the plants. Signed A.Vachon in the lower left hand corner. Annotated on the rear of the canvas 'Fin de route St Tropez'. Presented in a carved and gilded frame with a label for a Nice artist suppliers. Some wear to the edges of the frame, otherwise excellent condition.
