18th.c. Oak Welsh Dresser Base c.1760

Lovely 18th.c. oak Welsh potboard dresser base, Carmarthenshire South Wales c.1760. Two plank top with rounded edges over three drawers with a moulded edge to the drawer fronts and brass swan neck handles. Very attractive shaped apron with three ogee arches below the drawers, also repeated at the sides. Note also the little side panels which match the drawer fronts. Raised on straight stiles (with chamfered inner corners) joined with a potboard display shelf below. Good early timbers, note the oak drawer linings and backboard, and pegged construction. Excellent colour and condition, with a couple of patched repairs to the top, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
