Oak Corner Cabinet with Secret Compartment c.1800

George III oak corner cupboard or cabinet c.1800. Single door cabinet fitted with three attractively shaped shelves inside. Plus two small drawers in be base. Very unusually there is also a cleverly hidden secret compartment behind the two drawers accessed by removing a pin hidden in the cockbeading below the door and sliding out the divider between the drawers. Moulded cornice with a simplified Greek key frieze, raised and fielded door panels, brass hinges and escutcheon. Elm backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
