Large Camphorwood Chest c.1900

Unusually large camphorwood campaign style chest c.1900. Very nearly 5 feet wide, would make a fine feature coffee table. Made with single piece boards of solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber used to help protect the contents during passage, reinforced with brass bindings. Decorative brass handle to the lid and flush fitting brass carry handles at the sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
