Regency Rosewood Sofa Table c.1830

Fine English Regency rosewood sofa table c.1830. Particularly well figured rosewood veneers to the the top, with two folding leaves supported on hinged mahogany loafers and crossbanded edges. Identical design front and back with two slim mahogany lined drawers to each side with turned knobs. Unusual octagonal section vase-shaped supports on long plinth bases, also rosewood veneered, and raised on carved lion’s paw feet with original brass castors. Note the lack of a connecting stretcher making it ideal for use as a desk. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
