Marble Top Bentwood Dressing Table & Mirror c.1890
Unusual bentwood and marble top dressing table and mirror by the celebrated Austrian furniture makers Jacob & Joseph Kohn of Wien c.1890. 16" x 22" bevelled mirror plate within a beech wood frame flanked with turned half columns and finials, scrolling bentwood spay to the top and sides and an impressed panel with acanthus leaf decoration below. Over a superb quality two tier rouge griotte marble top with shaped sides and a slightly raised edge to the main table surface. Wooden base with two small drawers featuring a repeat of the impressed decoration from the mirror on the drawer fronts. Legs joined with bentwood stretchers at the back, sides and base. With turned finials and feet. Original paper label to the rear of the mirror. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
