French Empire Style Brass Mounted Mahogany Armchair c.1900.

Smart French Empire style mahogany open armchair c.1900. Elegantly shaped rear stiles with rollover tops, straight arms with brass mounts at the terminals and raised on crisp turned supports. Padded backrest and sprung seat upholstered in a woven Regency stripe fabric with brass studs to the edge. Moulded apron below the seat with a brass mount at the centre. Raised on tapering square legs with further brass mounts to the fronts and ending in neat carved claw feet. Very good condition with clean and serviceable upholstery. Frame has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
