Large Spanish Still Life Oil Painting by Ricardo Tarrega Viladoms c.1980

Large still life painting in oil on canvas by the Spanish / Catalan artist Ricardo Tarrega Viladoms (1922-1999) c.1980. An arrangement of fish in an earthen ware bowl, a glass jar of olives and chillies and some garlic cloves and onions, all traditional staples of Spanish cuisine, together with a copper jar and mug on a stone shelf. Seemingly lit with warm low evening sunlight, and painted with thick oils in a restricted palette of oranges and greeny blues to glowing effect. Signed in the lower right hand corner. Presented in the original frame with rich gilded and painted decoration and a name plaque on the bottom edge. Excellent condition.
