Extending Mahogany Dining Table c.1810

George III extending mahogany dining table c.1810. Extending from 47" to 82" with a telescopic frame and two additional table leaves to comfortably seat 8 people. Solid mahogany leaves with rounded edges over a mahogany veneered apron. Raised on slim turned and tapering legs (note the fifth leg to support the centre of the table when extended) with brass cup castors. The table is held closed with six brass clips supplied. Some old marks and wear to the top, repairs to the veneers on the apron and a replacement castor to the centre leg. Otherwise very good condition, solid and sturdy with a particularly good colour to the timber on the top. Cleaned, restored and polished in our workshops.
