Brittany Village Scene Oil Painting c.1950

Oil painting on canvas of the village of Kerlaz in French Finistere at the Western tip of Brittany c.1950. In bright sunshire women in traditional dress walk below the low gables and Gothic spire of the picturesque Church of Saint-Germain. Inscribed Kerlaz in the lower left corner and signed B Van de Marle in the lower right corner of the canvas. Presented as found in a deep moulded painted wooden frame. Very good condition.
