Small Marble Top Console Table c.1840

Unusually small mid 19th.c. mahogany and marble top console table c.1840. Just 29" wide. Original highly figured rouge griotte marble top with rounded front corners. On a particularly flame mahogany veneered base with a single oak lined drawer hidden in the frieze. Curving bracket front supports terminating with moulded plinths over scrolling corbels with crisp carved detail to both sides and to the front. On a cupid’s bow shaped plinth, veneered to match and raised on carved claw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
