Adjustable Cheval Mirror c.1830
Early 19th.c. mahogany cheval or dressing mirror c.1830. 19" x 31" mirror plate within a crossbanded frame with a moulded slip and original brass handle. Height adjustable from 61½" to 72" in three positions, locking into place with brass pins at each side. Square column supports with reeded fronts and topped with turned and pointed finials. Joined with a turned and reeded stretcher and raised on swept legs front and rear with reeded tops and brass claw feet and castors. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
