Empire Console Table With Gilded Legs c.1830

Unusual early 19th.c. French Empire console table c.1830. Mahogany veneered top with a moulded edge over a sloping apron in flame mahogany with a single long drawer in the front with pretty inlaid detail. Raised on a splendid pair of carved giltwood legs with scrolling tops, flower head roundels, acanthus detail and large claw feet. Original gilding and paintwork. Over an open plinth shelf also flame mahogany veneered to match. Good condition with some wear and repair to the veneers. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
