Very handsome little Georgian style mahogany serpentine fronted bachelor’s chest of drawers c.1930. Just 31″ wide. Crossbanded and ebony strung caddy top with a simple moulded edge. Over an unusual configuration of a single deep drawer flanked on each side with two slim drawers over four full length drawers of graduated depth. Shaped and cockbeaded drawer fronts with matching and symmetrically laid flame mahogany veneers and Georgian pattern swan neck handles. Canted and crossbanded front corners, thumb moulding around the base and raised on tall bracket feet front and rear. Of superior quality with oak drawer linings and backboards. Maker’s label to the rear for Kean & Scott of Birmingham. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
