Unusual and stylish little Art Deco dressing table c.1930. 21″ diameter cylinder cabinet fitted with two drawers, on top of which stands a teardrop shaped dressing mirror. Original mirror plate with bevelled edge, angle adjustable on a stand with exceptional carved and gilded Regency style detail. Unusually the mirror and the top of the cabinet revolves 360 degrees presumably designed to allow the sitter a side view of their face. Particularly well figured burr walnut veneers to each side of the cabinet and raised on turned legs with further carved and gilded detail. Excellent condition, retaining the original handles cast as cloth swags to match the detail on the legs. Brass maker’s label with design patent number to the rear. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
