Pair William IV Serving Sideboards.

IMG_2196

Discovered forgotten and neglected in a local barn (see previous post) but actually remarkably well preserved, we present this rare pair of early 19th.c. serving sideboards. Original throughout but now having been cleaned and polished in our workshops, they are restored to their former glory and ready for a new home with a more appreciative owner!
Of identical design, with flame mahogany veneered triangular pediment backstand and narrow shelf on turned column supports. A single drawer and carved acanthus leaf frieze flanked on each side with deeper dummy drawer fronts.  Raised on beautifully turned solid mahogany legs to both front and rear. Original turned mahogany knobs and lock, oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition. See below for some before and after images.
Dimensions: width 49½”, depth 21″, height 50″.
