Stunning pair of late 19th.c. Chinese carved rosewood side chairs c.1890. Exceptional quality carving to the frames, featuring multiple dragons and bats set amongst a foliate ground. The carving continues around the sides of the seat, with a pierced frieze below, and down the legs which are joined with stretchers carved to represent twisted and sprouting bamboo canes.
Fabulous condition with original canework panels to the backs and seats.
Dimensions: height 44″, width 18″, depth 19″.
