Star of the recent arrivals here at the warehouse has to be this splendid 9 foot long oak bookcase by Gardner & Son of Glasgow, one of the most successful makers and retailers of the 19th.c, noted for the fine quality of their cabinet making. C.1900, of elegant breakfront design, having a solid oak top with molded edge over five glazed doors on a shaped plinth and turned bun feet. The shelves are adjustable and happily it splits into three pieces plus top and plinth for ease of delivery. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. The middle door drop handle/escutcheon is a period replacement. Keys supplied.
