Large Georgian Sideboard c.1810.

Some images here of a venerable Georgian mahogany sideboard which arrived late on Friday afternoon. With two deep oak lined drawers with original dividers for bottles and wonderful tamboured slides on the top compartment which provided space for glasses – this is the Georgian equivalent of the mini-bar! Except it’s not very mini, almost 7 foot long and 2’6″ deep. In need of a little cosmetic restoration but generally in good usable condition. Good mellow colour and lots of nice detail; reeded legs, inlaid drawer fronts, decorative centre panel and those tambours. The lion’s mask handles are later replacements but typical of what it would have had originally.
Dimensions: 82″, 30″, 43″.
