Tall George III oak longcase clock c.1800. Painted enamel face with a rolling moon by the well know dial makers Wilson of Birmingham. Featuring a separate seconds dial and date display and an applied brass plaque engraved for G.Clamp of Knighton (probably a previous owner). Eight day brass works striking the hours on a bell. Very handsome oak case with a square hood with dental cornice over an arched door and turned columns. Slim body with a long door with shaped top, flanked on each side with fluted detail. Ogee mouldings, a square base panel and moulded plinth. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. The works have also been cleaned and overhauled and are sold with a 12 month guarantee. Original weights and pendulum. Winder and key supplied.
