Fresh on the floor this afternoon having been cleaned and polished in our workshops is this unusual early 20th.c ebonised chest of drawers c.1920. Mahogany drawer linings and gilded handles. A touch of Hollywood glamour about this one.

A fine mid Victorian mahogany button back armchair. c.1860. Well carved frame, generous sized seat and nicely understated plain upholstery.

A few nice pieces of mid 20th.c. furniture for today. Four good leather desk chairs, a very handsome tall chest of drawers by Loughborough Furniture and a super stylish G-Plan shelving system / room divider c.1960.

Edwardian Oak Partners Desk.

New on the shop floor this afternoon is this splendid large Edwardian partners’ desk c.1910. Double sided and identical on each side, with drawers and writing slides and a double depth drawer in the right hand pedestal. Panelled on each side and inside the kneehole. Excellent colour and condition, restored and repolished in our workshops.

Walnut Chest on Chest.

Useful narrow bow fronted walnut chest on chest c.1930. Good quality with oak drawer linings, brushing slide and burr walnut veneers. Unusual small dimensions, just over 2′ wide. Excellent condition, restored and repolished in our workshops.

One of the more spectacular new arrivals this week is this massive Victorian majolica jardiniere and stand. Beautifully modelled and coloured and standing 53″ tall. Some damage and restoration.

Pair Narrow Mahogany Bookcases.

Useful pair of narrow mahogany bookshelves c.1920. Good quality, with an elegant ‘cascade’ design and a single drawer at the base. The two bookcases seem to be identical apart from the floral inlay on the drawer front on one. Excellent condition, repolished in our workshops.

18th.c. Oak Dresser Base.

Delightful little mid 18th.c. oak two drawer dresser base c.1760. Cleaned, restored and repolished and out on the floor this afternoon. An unusual two drawer design with beautifully grained two plank top, molded drawer fronts and a splendid shaped apron across the front, and continuing on the oak panelled sides. Raised on turned legs with 19th.c. pot castors. Fruitwood backboard and drawer linings.

North Wales Oak Longcase Clock.

Mid 19th.c. oak longcase clock with 8 day works by Griffith Owen of Llanrwst, a market town in the Conwy valley here in North Wales famous for its clock making through the late 18th and 19th centuries. Unusual oak case with fruitwood pillars, bog oak inlays and mahogany crossbanding. Original weights and pendulum. The works have been cleaned and overhauled and are sold with a 12 month guarentee. PLeae note the date wheel is not functioning on this clock.

Mid 19th.c. Four Door Mahogany Sideboard.

Fresh for the blog today having been restored and repolished in our workshops is this imposing mid 19th.c. mahogany sideboard. Loads of storage with three drawers above a four door cupboard base. Good qulaity with oak drawer linings, elegant inverted breakfront design and crisply carved moldings to the right and left hand doors. Excellent condition, retaining the original bottle drawer. Keys supplied.
