Continental Leather Bound Chest.


Late 18th.c. Dome lidded chest, likely Spanish in origin, dated 1762. Bound in leather with brass stud and embossed detail to the edges and top, the initials M.R.A and the date 1762 on the front. In solid unrestored condition complete with original clasps, locks, hinges, handles and stud work, with some minor fraying at the edges. Leather is in serviceable condition, with great patination, the floral cloth lining has been protected from sun exposure and remains vibrant.
