Mid 19th.c. Mahogany Sofa c.1860.


Impressive mid 19th.c. mahogany sofa c.1860. Solid frame with original white pot casters. Covered with green leather, likely from the early 20th.c. and now worn to a lovely soft patinated colour. Also upholstered to the rear, with slight damage as shown. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Mahogany Cheval Mirror c.1860.


Handsome mid 19th.c. dressing or cheval mirror on stand c.1860. Arch top mirror in moulded mahogany frame on solid mahogany stand with tapered uprights joined with a turned stretcher. Turned roundel details to the sides. Excellent condition with original mirror plate, adjuster screws and castors. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Mid 20th.c. Glass Table Lamps.


Good looking pair of mid 20th.c. cut glass table lamps c.1950. Decorative vase shape cut glass bodies with brass tops and bases. Excellent condition, cleaned, rewired and sold with a PAT test certificate.

19th.c. Triple Plate Overmantle Mirror.


Handsome Regency style triple plate overmantle mirror c.1895. Three bevelled mirror plates set within a moulded plaster frame with scallop frieze and Egyptian motif papyrus columns with Royal heads and a pair of feet at the base of each! Excellent condition with later gilt finish.

Early 19th.c. Welsh Dresser Base.


Fresh on the floor this morning this lovely early 19th.c. Welsh oak dresser base c.1830. With three drawers over two cupboards and central bank of three working drawers. With unusual octagonal door panels, bone escutcheons and the distinctive diamond and dot lozenge inlay found on furniture produced in the market town of Llangefni on the island of Anglesey here in North Wales. Oak panelled sides and bracket feet. Excellent colour and condition with original floor boards and back panels and later brass knobs. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied.

Pair Large Brass Table Lamps.


Good looking pair of large brass table lamps in the style of 16th.c. ‘prick stick’ type candle holders with a large plate to catch dripping wax. Turned columns and bases. Excellent condition, cleaned and rewired and sold with a PAT test certificate.

Large Antique Tapestry.


Large antique woven tapestry panel with applied border c.1910.  Over six feet in height, depicting a Medieval hunting scene with excellent detail. Attractively faded with age and some damage mainly at the edge.

Ebonised & Amboyna Wood Side Cabinet.


Impressive late 19th.c. ebonised side cabinet c.1880. Beautifully figured amboyna wood veneered top over four doors, the centre two being mirrored, the left and right with clear glass. Flanked on each side with turned and reeded columns. Amboyna wood front with ebonised borders, ivorine inlays and ormolu beading and mouldings. With a maker’s stamp to the rear for the London cabinet makers C.Hindley & Son of Oxford Street. Presented here in unrestored condition with some splits to the top and general wear.

Pair of Leather Club Armchairs.


Fabulous pair of early 20th.c. low back leather club armchairs c.1920. Shaped backrest, scroll arms, sides and rear retain their original attractively worn faun-coloured leather upholstery. Luxurious 29” deep sprung seat with loose feather filled cushion in a charcoal velvet. Carved oak arm fronts and frieze running down to carved ball and claw feet joined with front-to-rear stretchers. Some damage to the leather most obviously to the right hand arm of one chair as shown here. Otherwise very good condition, solid and sturdy, cleaned and polished with freshly upholstered cushions and front trim.

Upholstered Ottoman Stool.


Fabulous quality late 19th.c. ottoman box stool or window seat c.1895. Lift the hinged seat pad to reveal a fitted interior in mahogany divided into 6 compartments. Probably originally intended for sheet music it is deep enough to hold bottles of wine (would take approx 30 bottles!). Ebonised mahogany frame with carved detail and raised on short turned and reeded legs. Fabulous condition, with the original brass hinges and stay and freshly upholstered in a trellis patterned blue silk damask.
