12 Seater Extending Oak Dining Table


Impressive late 19th.c. pale oak dining table c.1890. Extending on a corkscrew mechanism from 61″ to a maximum length of  111″ with three removable leaves to comfortably seat 12 people. Solid oak top, quarter sawn to reveal a fine pattern of medullary rays. With a moulded edge and canted corners on splendid turned legs with original brass collared ceramic castors.  Excellent colour and condition. Winding handle supplied.

Carved Hall Mirror.


Narrow Edwardian walnut hall mirror or pier glass c.1910. 14″ x 34″ mirror with a bevelled edge set within a 4″ wide walnut frame carved with an unusual geometric pattern. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Could be hung either landscape or portait aspect.

Chinoiserie Standard Lamp.


Early 20th.c. chinoiserie ebonised standard lamp c.1930. Turned wooden column with hand painted decoration of a bird amongst folliage in gold against a black lacquered ground. On a tripod plinth base with lacquer work oriental figures and raised on shaped feet with scroll detail. Excellent condition, cleaned, polished and rewired. Sold with PAT test certificate.
Dimensions: height to bulb 63″, diameter at base 13″.

Georgian Oak Tack Cupboard


Splendid George III oak tack cupboard c.1790. Designed to provided useful storage for clothing and riding gear which could be hung from the rows of original wooden peg hooks in the top section. Large moulded cornice over a two door cupboard with three sets of shaped, raised and fielded panels across the front. On a separate base with three drawers below three blind panels, (also raised and fielded to match the top). The top of the base being open to allow for extra hanging height. Solid oak throughout with panelled sides, original backboards and original bracket feet. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops and fitted with a hanging rail. Could be easily fitted with shelves if preferred to make a kitchen or housekeeper’s cupboard.

Italian Ebonised and Marquetry Bed & Matching Tables.


Bit of a show stopper for the end of the week with this gorgeous Italian double bed and matching pair of bedside tables c.1900. Ebonised hardwood frame with fabulous floral pattern marquetry work inlaid panels to the head and foot board set within a mahogany crossbanded border with ormolu studs to the foot. Unusual sleigh type foot board with further marquetry to the sides. On square tapered legs with original brass foot. To take a 80” x 60” mattress.
Presented here with the original matching pair of single drawer bedside tables. With marquetry and crossbanded tops, sides and drawer fronts and the same brass feet. With a useful raised lip around the top, mahogany drawer linings and neat little cast brass knobs.
Both the bed and table are in excellent condition, having been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Tables – width 21”, depth 13½”, height 22”.

Pair Arts & Crafts Oak Jardiniere


Remarkable pair of shapely late 19th.c. planters or jardiniere c.1890. Of singular design showing the influence of the  Gothic and Arts & Crafts movements of the day. 45″ x 9″ trough with moulded oak frames and beautiful bottle green tiles by the Staffordshire company H&R Johnson. Gracefully shaped apron around each side with pierced Arts & Crafts spade motifs to the front and rear. Raised on long slim legs which flare outwards as they reach the floor for extra stability. Excellent condition, restored and polished in our workshops. All the tiles on the front and rear faces of both panters are original (one with a small crack across the corner), whilst well matched modern reproductions (also by Johnson) have been used on the sides.

Hand Pinted Mahogany Bedside Cabinet.


Gorgeous little Edwardian mahogany bedside cabinet with original hand painted detail c.1905. Exceptional quality, in solid mahogany throughout with fabulous hand painted door panel featuring a classical urn and laurel wreath motif. Crisp moulded edge to the top, original gilded brass handle and shaped detail at the foot. Further painted stringing to the top and sides. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
