Hanging Pendant Light.


Early 20th.c. hanging porch light c.1920. Opaline glass shade below very handsome original copper gallery. Hung from good quality brass chain with twisted links. Excellent condition, cleaned and rewired and ready to hang. Chain could be easily shortened if preferred.

Dimensions: shade diameter 11″, height from bottom of shade to top of gallery 17″, total drop 45″.

Brass Inlaid Mahogany Wardrobe

Stunning late 19th.c. brass inlaid mahogany wardrobe or press cupboard c.1890. Long door with original full length bevelled mirror plate. Fitted inside with adjustable shelves, internal depth 14″. Large arched cornices topped with splendid heavy cast brass pineapple finials. Door flanked with turned columns with brass inlaid flutes and moulded brass fitting. Mahogany veneered exterior on oak groundwork with extensive brass mouldings and inlaid stringing to the cornice, front, sides and plinth. Oak shelves and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied. Can be disassembled for delivery.

Set of Six Saddle Seat Armchairs.


Splendid set of six large late 19th.c. club or library style walnut open armchairs c.1880. Bow shaped backrest and arms with rollover top and carved with the initials EC. On carved and pierced back splats and swept supports over superb single piece walnut saddle seats beautifully shaped for comfort. Raised on turned front legs with brass cup castors joined with a bowed crinoline stretcher and linked with turned supports to the rear legs which are splayed for extra stability. Some earlier repairs and restorations, most obvious to the rear legs on a few of the chairs. Otherwise excellent condition and particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Art & Crafts Walnut & Leather Screen.


Very unusual late 19th.c. walnut and leather dressing screen c.1890. Four 21″ wide panels of graduated height with tooled leather panels within walnut frames with pierced tops. Double skin leather panels decorated on one side with full length figures each surrounded with the foliage of a particular plant and accompanied with different animals whilst the other side features woodland scenes populated with nymphs and fairies and a puckish character with short horns. Carved foliate detail to the uprights and base panels to one side of the frame whilst the other side has a simple fluted detail and plain panels. Some damage to the leather panels which are quiet faint and worn in places. Otherwise excellent condition with original brass bi-fold hinges. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Metamorphic Side Table & Music Stand.


Unusual and ingenious little metamorphic mahogany side table c.1860. Single piece solid mahogany top with inlaid detail. Height adjustable from 27½” – 38″, the top can also be angled on a lockable brass mechanism to make a sloping lectern or music stand with a removable ledge to hold papers in place.  With a small mahogany lined drawer below. On a turned column and slim shaped legs with matching inlaid detail and ball feet. Excellent condition.

Oak Folio Stand.


Useful little mid 20th.c. oak folio stand c.1960. Simple solid oak frame with flared sides to hold art prints, maps, large format books etc. Swept legs raised on castors. Very good condition.

Set of Four Wingback Armchairs.


Rare set of four very comfortable Georgian style high back fireside armchairs c.1930. Shaped and sprung backrests with wings and outswept arms. Over sprung seats with loose feather filled cushions. Upholstered in a soft burgundy velvet with piped edges. Raised on mahogany cabriole front legs with unusual nipple turnings at the knees. Turned and block rear legs and stretchers also in mahogany. Excellent condition with clean and serviceable covers.

Small William IV Chest.


Handsome looking little William IV mahogany chest or cellarette c.1830. Probably originally intended to hold bottles of wine, it would make a great little fireside box for logs or kindling and fire lighters etc. Flat top lid with a deep moulded edge, panelled front and splendid carved acanthus leaf handles and feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Large Classical Bust.


Large Classical style male bust in plaster c.1960. Standing 28″ tall with the head turned to the right. Cast in one piece with a stepped and moulded plinth. Maker unknown but with a small monogrammed mark to the rear. Minor wear to the surface, most obvious to the front right hand corner of the plinth and the hair. Generally very good condition.

Four Country Chippendale Style Dining Chairs.


Delightful set of 4 late Georgian oak dining chairs c.1810. The design is a country vernacular interpretation of a Chippendale chair, with a shaped top rail and pierced back splat with charming heart-shaped cutaway. Over simple board seats raised on square legs joined with stretchers to each side. Very good condition, solid and sturdy. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
