Of unique design and truly phenomenal quality, this imposing British Art Nouveau sideboard, c.1895 is highlight of today’s new arrivals. A real show stopper with carved floral detail in heavy relief and massive, decorative brass work. Featuring original bottle drawer and slides. In need of a little restoration, I shall post again when it is finished.
New this morning this good mid 18th.c. American style walnut chest on stand c.1930. A good faithful copy with lots of nice details; canted corners, brushing slide, superbly carved legs, good handles and well figured timber.

A shot here of a few more of this morning’s new arrivals. Please don’t hesitate get in touch if you would like further details.
Apologies for the lack of posts this week. I’ve been away for a couple of days and now we’re loading to head of to the world famous Newark antique fair. Hopefully we’ll have some more goodies to show you on Friday. In the meantime here is a very attractive American Shaker style stickback settle. No great age but nice lines I think.
Dimensions: width 55″, depth 19″, height 38″.
Also arriving yesterday was this collection of Persian, Pakistani and Turkish woven rugs and runners. Wonderful colours and designs, we couldn’t resist teaming them with our Moorish brass bound chest, a little Arabian table and a pair of carved Indian elephants.
Various sizes and prices – please contact us if you would like details.
Fresh out of the workshop this morning having been cleaned and waxed is this delightfully rustic 19th.c. pine dairy table c.1850. With three drawers, featuring the original knobs, raised on turned legs. The base retains the original ‘scrumbled’ finish, painted to represent oak wood grain.
Dimensions: width 54″, depth 25″, height 30″
A selection here of yesterday’s new arrivals. You will find details of the oak shaving stand and the buttoned leather stool on the stock pages of the website.

Keys supplied.
