Late 19th.c English Over Mantle Mirror c.1890.


Late 19th.c English Over Mantle Mirror c.1890. Impressive large late 19th.c over mantle mirror c.1890. Elaborate moulded gesso frame with an unusual frieze at the top with foliate detail around a central cameo featuring a figure with hounds. Good condition with some minor damage to the gesso typical of age. Original mirror plate and back board stamped for makers J.Lamb of Manchester.

George II Oak Side Table.


Stunning little George II oak side table c.1740. Solid top with a neat thumb moulded edge over a single pine lined drawer retaining the original brass handle. On particularly good slim and tapering turned legs with unusual carved detail to the ‘knees’ and ending in a lovely pad foot. Excellent colour and condition, original throughout, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Scottish Brass Coal Bucket.


Splendid late 19th.c. brass coal bucket by the Scottish maker Alexander Lawson of Dundee c.1880. Good sized bucket with handles to the top and rear.  Excellent condition retaining the original brass shovel with turned mahogany handle which fits into a holder inside the bucket. Clear maker’s stamp to the top

Regency Rosewood Daybed.


Imposing Regency rosewood chaise lounge or daybed. c.1815. Fabulous carved detail and an unusual leg with vintage buttoned upholstery. In good condition, solid and sturdy with servicable upholstery. The frame has been cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Mahogany Press Cupboard.


Smart early 19th.c. mahogany clothes press or wardrobe c.1835. Two doors with solid flame mahogany panels. Opens to reveal a fitted interior of three fixed shelves above a two over two chest of drawers with sold mahogany fronts. Some minor marks to the cornice, otherwise excellent condition with original brass turn catch and drawer handles. Good mellow colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Oak Butler’s Tray.


Unusual late 19th.c. oak butler’s tray and stand in oak rather than the more commonly seen mahogany. Large tray, carved on each side with shaped hand gips. On the original folding stand with matching carved detail, tapering square legs and chamfered edges. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Georgian Oak Side Table.


Neat little late Georgian oak side table c.1790. Lovely simple piece of country furniture with a two piece top over a single drawer with a shaped apron below. On square legs with chamfered inner corner (a typical Georgian detail). Original moulding above the drawer, oak drawer linings.
