Superb set of eight early 20th.c. English oak pub tables c.1930. Exceptional quality, of solid oak construction throught featuring a hexagonal top with moulded edge over four splayed and turned legs joined with cross strectshers at knee level. Original and unrestored condition, very sturdy with some wear to the fininsh.

Fine quality mid 19th.c. burr walnut centre table c.1870, reduced in height to make a stunning feature coffee table. Quartered burr walnut veneers of superb grain arranged symmetrically on solid mahogany ground work. With fine marquetry work inlays in mahogany and satinwood. On a centre pedestal featuring four fluted supports raised on four splendidly carved and shaped walnut legs, retaining the original white porcelain and brass castors. Condition is excellent, with some minor wear typical of age but freshly French polished in our workshops to allow those veneers to sing.

A French Louis XVI style Porter’s chair c.1930. Excellent carved giltwood frame with hooded top characteristic of the form. With feather seat cushion and fluted legs. Upholstered in a pale green moire stripe silk. Very good condition solid and sturdy with serviceable covers.

Impressively long early 20th.c. oak bench or hall seat c.1920. 7’8” in length, solid oak construction throughout, the top being one single board. With shaped apron to the front and sides and turned legs connected by a square section stretcher. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Fresh on the floor this afternoon this imposing pair of late 19th.c leather chairs c.1880. Of matching ‘his and hers’ design featuring heavy mahogany frames with a shaped and upholstered backrest topped with a gadrooned cresting rail, over large sprung seats raised on stout turned front legs and brown porcelain and brass castors. Particularly good carved and turned arm supports to the armchair. Excellent condition, recently upholstered in an oxblood hide with brass studwork.

Mid 19th.c pine kitchen dresser base c.1850. Inch thick counter top over seven drawers of graduated depth, arranged around a small central cupboard. With flush fitting campaign style brass handles and raised on unusual turned feet. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
