20th.c. Oil on Board – Conwy Castle.

After hanging in a local North Walian public house for many years, refurbishment means this large early 20thc. original oil on board is now in need of a new home. Depicting John Bold of Bold & Burtonwood crossing the Conwy estuary in 1403-1404. Clearly showing Conwy castle in the background with period ship under sale to the foreground. Signed C.W.Beretta, Decorator from Rhosneigr, Angelsey. Excellent original condition, presented unframed.

Gilt Mirror.

Early 20th.c. Italian over mantle mirror, c.1920. Carved lime wood with decorative gilding. Some minor damage to the gilding, the mirror plate is in good condition.

Three Piece Bergere Suite.

Lovely three piece bergere or canework suite c.1930. Consisting of a sofa and accompanying armchairs. Sturdy walnut frames, with shaped backs and arms atop foliate carved ball and claw feet with carved bottom rail. Excellent condition with no holes or damage to the bergere panels. Cleaned and polished in our workshops and freshly upholstered.

Metamorphic Highchair.

Late Victorian metamorphic child’s high chair and rocking chair c.1895. Great overall condition, with minor damage to the original bergere work. Patented mechanism allows conversion from a high chair into a low rocking chair, and is in full working order. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Late 18th.c. Oak Gateleg Table.

Handsome late 18th.c. oak gateleg table, c.1770. Oak top on bobbin turned legs, to comfortably seat six or possibly eight. Excellent original condition with great colour and patina. Solid oak construction throughout, end moldings being a nice feature. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops, the small knife drawer to one end features a later brass knob.

19th.c. North Wales Dresser.

Good 19th.c. North Wales dresser, c.1800. The rack features a moulded cornice with three oak shelves of graduated depth and shaped sides. Cupboard base retains the original backboards and drawer linings, with three central drawers flanked by single drawers and cupboards on either side. Excellent colour and condition, with period replacement brass handles to the base. Cleaned and polished in our workshops, keys supplied.

Welsh Dairy Dresser.

Attractive Welsh serving or dairy dresser, c.1810. Solid oak two plank top above a pair of large drawers, retaining the original linings. Original and unusual brass escutcheons and handles. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.

Small Mahogany Bachelors Chest.

Well made mahogany reproduction caddy top bachelor chest, in the regency style, c.1950’s. Of typical design with two smaller drawers over three long. Mahogany lined drawers with satin and boxwood inlays. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops and complete with original handles.

Papier Mache Tripod Table.

Fresh on the floor today, this locally sourced and wonderfully painted papier-mâché tripod table c.1860. Produced by world renowned manufacturers Jennens and Bettridge of Constitution Hill Birmingham and featuring their patented swivel and tilt mechanism. Hand painted floral design to the top with gilded swags to the border, pedestal and base. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
