William IV Rosewood Pembroke Work Table c.1835.

Lovely little William IV rosewood pembroke work table c.1835. Well figured rosewood veneered top with two folding leaves supported on hinged loafers. Single drawer with a sliding tray inside divided for bobbins and threads etc, and a deep pull-out a work basket below. Rosewood veneered drawer front, the design of which is repeated on the rear. Unusual legs with highly decorative pierced fretwork sides and scrolling brackets. Joined with a turned stretcher and raised on long plinths and carved bun feet with neat little brass castors recessed below. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
