Small Welsh Oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn c.1770

18th.c. Welsh oak cwpwrdd deuddarn (two piece cupboard) c.1770. Unusually small, just 40″ wide at the cornice. Two door cuboard top fitted with a single shelf (depth 15″) over a deeper high waisted two door cupboard base with two drawers.  Moulded cornice, original turned droppers and beautiful ogee pointed arch door panels within moulded surrounds. Turned door and drawer knobs, scratch carved detail to the edge of the drawer fronts. Square panels to the lower doors with moulded surrounds repeated at the sides. Brass knobs with turn catches inside the lower doors. Raised on the original long stiles (these have often been reduced or replaced over the years). Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
