Beautiful little Regency era rosewood chiffonier side cabinet c.1820. Just 36″ wide with two drawers over a two door cupboard split into two halves with two shelves to each side (depth 12″), which can be positioned as required by sliding them in and out of the grooves on the sides. Well figured rosewood veneers across the top, front and sides. Inlaid brass fretwork either side of the drawers and at the centre, with crossbanded surrounds. Unusual brass escutcheons to the drawer and doors. Solid flame mahogany door panels within rosewood veneered frames flanked with splendid applied columns (which open with the doors allowing them fold flat) with carved terminals and brass mounts. Restored, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
