Set of Four Lloyd Loom Chairs c.1950.

Unusual set of four little Lusty Lloyd Loom chairs c.1950. Striking design with a tall shaped backrest and low sprung seat raised on short beech legs. Excellent condition with original gold paint finish, whilst the loose seat pads have been freshly upholstered in a black velvet chenille. Original paper maker’s label to the underside of one chair. Interesting to note each chair is stamped with the manufacturing date July 1950 and also with the CC41 logo of the wartime ‘Utility’ scheme which controlled the use of raw material in British manufacturing from 1941 until its abolition in 1952.
