Pair of Rosewood Open Armchairs c.1880.

Beautiful pair of late 19th.c. rosewood open armchairs c.1880. Shapely moulded frames in solid rosewood with curved oval backrests and open arms over sprung seats. Recently upholstered in a well chosen fabric with attractive woven botanical design. Carved scroll detail to the arm terminals raised on swept supports flowing gracefully into the shaped front legs, the sinous design continuing across the apron below the seat. Raised on the original turned wooden castors with brass collars. Excellent colour and condition with clean covers, the frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
