Pair of Oak Stacking Office Bookcases c.1910.

Smart pair of Edwardian era oak stacking ‘Chapter’ bookcases by the Manchester maker Simpoles c.1910. Two stacks of four bookcase sections of graduated depth, plus dental cornices and plinths with bracket feet. Could be arranged as two stacks of different heights if preferred. Each section with the lift and slide doors typical of the form. Solid oak sides, bevelled glass, brass knobs and original maker’s labels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
