Pair of Brass Inlaid Mahogany Wardrobes c.1890.

Stunning pair of late 19th.c. brass inlaid mahogany wardrobe or press cupboards c.1890. Of very slightly different dimensions but matching design. Both have a long door with original full length shaped mirror plate with a broad bevelled edge. Fitted inside with adjustable shelves (plus a single drawer in the base of one), internal depth 14″. Large arched cornices topped with splendid heavy cast brass pineapple finials. Doors flanked with turned columns with brass inlaid flutes and brass fittings. Mahogany veneered exterior on oak and mahogany groundwork with extensive brass mouldings and inlaid stringing to the cornice, front, sides and plinth. Oak shelves and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Keys supplied. Both wardrobes can be disassembled for delivery.
