Mid 19th.c. Rosewood Writing Table c.1860.

Good size mid 19th.c. rosewood table c.1860. Oval top with particularly well-figured rosewood veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern on mahogany groundwork. With a gracefully shaped and crossbanded edge and a moulded apron with carved acanthus leaf detail. Raised on exceptional solid rosewood pedestal supports and shaped legs with floral detail and scroll feet on white pot castors.  Unusually for this style of table the arrangement of the legs without a connecting stretcher means it is ideal for use as a writing table. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
