Large painted panel in oil on canvas c.1950. Over five and a half feet wide by four feet tall. Neo-Classical motif of two cherubs or putti within an oak leaf and laurel border topped with a ribbon bow. Convincing trompe l’oeil effect, painted to look like raised plaster work when viewed from a distance. Light general wear but no holes in the canvas. Presented unframed on the original stretcher.
