Unusual Oak Hybrid Settle & Chaise c.1820.

Unusual early 19th.c. hybrid settle and chaise c.1820. Traditional tavern type high back oak settle with the usual shaped arm at one end whilst the other is rounded and upholstered to form a chaise longue or daybed. With five nice ogee shaped raised and fielded panels across the backrest. Loose seat cushion on a webbed based, freshly upholstered in a linen damask fabric. Raised on three interestingly shaped legs with pad feet across the front. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
