Georgian Welsh Oak Kitchen Cupboard c.1800.

Late Georgian Welsh oak kitchen cupboard of a type known locally as a ‘Cwpwrdd Bara Caws’ or bread and cheese cupboard c.1800. Two door cupboard top with the vented door panels typical of the form and fitted with two shelves inside. Over a base with two short and two long drawers of graduated depth. Moulded cornice, panelled doors with unusual rosewood crossbanded inlay, attractive shaped vents and turned knobs. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with more crossbanding, bone escutcheons and turned knobs. Panelled sides and original backboards to both pieces. Raised on shaped bracket feet front and rear. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
