Georgian Welsh Oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn c.1810.

Lovely early 19th.c. Welsh oak cwpwrdd deuddarn or two piece cupboard c.1810. A superb example of the form, probably originating in Monmouthshire, South East Wales. The top divided into two cupboards, the lockable right hand side retaining the rare original fitted interior of arched pigeon holes and two small drawers for valuables. Double width cupboard behind the fixed centre panel and left hand door. On the original base unit with a two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf plus two useful drawers in the waist. Neat little turned droppers to the canopy over three pointed ogee arch top panels. Turned knobs with bone centres and shield shaped bone escutcheons.  Panelled doors, repeated on the sides, shaped bracket feet front and rear. Original oak floor and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
