Early 19th.c. mahogany linen press c.1820. Two door cupboard top fitted with two shelves for clothes or linen over a useful chest of four drawers of graduated depth. Moulded cornice over doors with particularly well figured and symmetrically matched flame mahogany oval panels within crossbanded surrounds. Matched veneers to the drawer fronts with cockbeaded edges and each retaining their original large brass handles with moulded backplates and large hoop grips. Shaped apron to the front and sides. Pine sides and drawer linings. Lovely mellow colour and excellent condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops, key supplied. Splits into two pieces for ease of delivery. The shelves could be replaced with a hanging rail if preferred.
