Early 19th.c. Mahogany Desk or Writing Table c.1830.

Early 19th.c. mahogany desk or writing table c.1830. Good sized top with a crossbanded and thumb moulded edge and nice old leather writing surface with Greek key pattern tooling. Over two mahogany lined drawers with attractively figured drawer fronts, cockbeaded edges and neat brass knobs. Repeated as dummy drawer fronts on the rear of the desk, with one replacement knob of slightly different pattern. Raised on crisply turned legs with the original large brass cup castors. Some obvious old wear to the leather, otherwise excellent condition and lovely mellow colour. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
