Cased Taxidermy Heron c.1910.

Splendid early 20th cased taxidermy display of a large grey heron attributed to Thomas Gunn of Norwich c.1910. Naturalistic taxidermy with glass eyes presented amongst reeds, grasses and feathers against a pale blue painted background. Behind glass in the original wooden case painted black, with a gilded slip frame. Excellent condition with repainting to the case and background. With a reproduction of a Gunn’s maker’s label to the rear.
