Large late 19th.c. cased taxidermy display of a fox by Shaw of Shrewsbury c.1877. Good quality taxidermy and a naturalistic pose – shown crouching over the body of a cock pheasant. On an artificial rock with grasses and ferns. Presented behind glass in the original case with gilt slip frame. Hand written label to the rear for H.Shaw of Shrewsbury dated December 15th 1877. Excellent condition.
